"ouch, can you still walk?"

"Yeah" Brendan said moving his legs a bit.

"you up for climbing a mountain?" Nick picked some fruits and put them in his bag

"No I'm up for finding out what's in that clearing we stopped before we got to."

"then lets see what it is"
Nick climbed down

Brendan climbed down and pushed past the brush

"wow, what is this?"

"I don't know"

in the clearing was a huge stone statue, it wasn't clear what it was, and it looked like it was meant to be that way, swirls and curls, almost like a representation of the winds

"Woah."

"how did whoever carved this thing carve it?"

"I don't think it was carved." Brendan said walking closer "It has no shadow except for the plinth. The statue itself is insubstantial."

"wait did it just move?"

phillip got back up with a blank stare and started walking towards the jungle area of the island

George followed him, wondering what on earth he was doing

"I don't think so..." Brendan said. "We need a machete."

Phillip kept walking till he stopped at huge rock formation

"i swear it shifted, like it didn't go any where, but a swirl moved"

Brendan repeated "It's insubstantial. It will move." Brendan sounded completely illogical "It could be enchanted."

Nick went up to it and reached to touch it

It swirled around him.

"wow!"
Nick found himself on top of the plinth, looking at Brendan.
"what the?"
to anyone outside it would appear as if the statue swallowed Nick

"Nick!?" Brendan stared at where Nick disappeared from.

(ohhhh can I make a character from the ancient civilization like they were trapped in the statue?)

Nick could hear Brendan and when he tried to call out he couldn't even hear himself, from here Nick could clearly see that the 'statue' was in fact, moving.
he felt a rumble and the center of the plinth started to drop, taking him with it

A girl appeared where Nick was standing looking confused.
