Mike wondered about an inventory, he was getting the feeling this wasn't a hallucination or anything like that, but more like a game, he had the same feeling about looking in with a minds eye and found an inventory, it said his name was Noah Slyze and the the only item not already equipped to his person was a kunai, the description read:
"a handheld weapon used either for close range slashing combat or throwing. if you have more than one you can use them to climb certain walls and also not have to retrieve it before being able to use it after throwing"
"only one eh? might as well put it to use"
Mike equipped it and when he exited the inventory found it already at his belt he continues down the path to Foja

Zexion didn't have much time to think as he randomly appeared in a forest.

Mike figures he better start thinking of himself as his character here, it might help him get used to this world. he noticed that the path followed the river and saw something glint in the water. he waded in and picked it up, i was a pouch of some kind.
why and how he glinted he didn't know but he checked the inventory to see what it was
[what should the currency be called in this land? and for that matter, what should the land be called?]

the pouch's description said this:
"Beggar's Pouch, holds up to 50 Lumens"
"whats a Lumen?"

[and that's why i queried that XD]

Noah saw that the road ahead was covered in tall grass, he took out his Kunai and began to cut it down in front of him, not knowing how far the patch stretched, occasionally he found small coins that his inventory told him were Lumens, he pocketed them and even after clearing a path through it he began to cut it all down in an OCD moment

[i'm just assuming Lumens are coins, correct me if you had something else in mind Shinji]

Zexion looked around... "This seems to be that game he's always talking about."

when Noah finished cutting the grass in the path that he could have clearly walked right through a cart came up and the old man driving it stopped in front of him, "you cleared the path? that you youngster, take this for your troubles", then he continued off in the opposite way Noah was going
"take what?" Noah checked his pouch and noticed the old man had given him 20 Lumens, "well this is interesting"

Zexion walked along.

Noah came to a cross roads, one path went straight, while the other path went left. something was sitting in the middle of the word straight ahead though

Zexion stopped at a tree and slumped over.

Noah checked it over, it looked like some sort of statue

Zexion continued going.

Noah tried to push it and despite its weakened appearance it didn't budge

Zexion stumbled out of the woods and fell over.

Noah ignored it and and found a sign that pointed to Foja, he continued in that direction

Zexion groaned loudly.

Noah heard someone and tried to follow the noise straight through the forest, but the vegetation got too thick within a few feet

so he backtracked to the crossroads following the sound, he pulled out his weapon just on case

Zexion pulled himself to the statue and grabbed a design on the base: A skull inside a Compass. He pulled on it and twisted his hand to get a better grip.

Noah came upon someone on the ground, "hey you ok?"
