the final banner appeared and asked for Shiva, Walter, Flora, Terra, and Tiala
Shiva and Walter left together, Terra and Flora followed them, and Tiala shyly brought up the rear behind them all

"y'know Terra, there's always the possibility that he isn't at this school"

Xaio smiled and walked off to sit outside.

Gus joined her and whistled his own song

the final five students arrived at the office to take their ethics tests

the sun was starting to set.

"It's the shortest day of the year. soon is the festival of lights."

"yeah..."

Xaio took off her dustcloak. "I'm still wearing this thing..."

"what about it?"

"I usually take this thing off."

the five finished and turned in their tests

"does it have any significance?"

"Nope I just had to say it" She rolled it up and tied it around her waist.

Gus put his arm around her

Xaio unlaced her blouse a bit "Okay. now I'm ready."

"......for what?"

"The festival."

"right, forgot. but i think it wouldn't start until the last five come back with their dorm assignments"

"Best to be ready."

Walter was assigned to Lustitania
Shiva was assigned to Viatre
Flora was assigned to Avo
Terra was assigned to Lustania
Tiala was assigned to Viatre
they returned to the cafeteria and finished eating

"so i wonder if this festival is just casual"

"if it wasn't I would be looking for my Feastday dress."

The sun set completely and lights turned on instantly making it look like it was still day.

"festival's starting soon i guess"

"yeah as soon as the music starts"
